I am so excited to share this next session. An outdoor session, especially with a toddler, can be impossible this time of year, so for this session we decided to try something different, which I always love. A trip to the Speed Art Museum! Being an art lover and lover of architecture, Louisville’s Speed Museum was the perfect spot for this incredible family of four. We explored the museum and did a mix of posed shots and candids, some planned, some because that is life with a toddler, unpredictable. My personal favorites are the one on the stairs when he decided not to participate (he is voicing his displeasure) and a fit on the floor when big sis comforted him. We got lots of smiles and but those are the moments that round out the story. One minute a toddler is laughing the next total meltdown but you cannot deny they are adorable, especially this little man with his almond beautiful eyes.
I have been blessed to photograph this family for five years, starting when Mom was pregnant with her first. Nikki, mom, is a model and clearly has a great eye for fashion. She always plans the best family outfits, and kills it with the boots every year. I need to post past pics of her shoes, I am not kidding you, she has style! Her oldest is just like mom, she loves the camera and the camera loves her. The second I point it in her direction she beams. Such a cutie! She is that age where she skips most places, oh the joy little ones bring into our world! Love it!
