Let’s talk birthdays! I have one myself coming up, but let’s be real. Nothing is cuter than a baby’s first birthday. Whether you celebrate big or small, it is always special. The biggest birthday request I have is the cake smash or to document the first birthday party. Not sweet sixteen nor 50th birthday requests even come close to what I receive for first birthdays. That is because it is the first and that makes it worth the extra effort.
Over the years I have done many cake smashes, some turned into, “I don’t like this sweet stuff” others are more like “give me all of it! I want to eat and wear it!”, so many want to share their cake, so sweet. But either way its always different and always spontaneous in their reactions and moments we create. These sessions can take place anywhere and we get to be creative with the theme, location, outfit, and cake. I am always up for anything.
This session was all made and designed by mom. I love when moms, dads too, get involved, make the cake and decorations. Or provide family heirlooms. Not only did we do a cake smash, we wanted to capture the love this little man had with his parents and all his big achievements. Walking like a pro! A what a smile! This kid has the best smile and is so very happy. I know he is loved fiercely.
