I am excited to begin sharing my spring portrait sessions soon, now that we finally have some spring like weather, but I can not move on until I post a few of my favorites from the fall of 2021 and this past winter. I always try to prioritize blogging but life seems to get in the way every time. But this is one of my favorite families, I have worked with them since their youngest was four months old. They moved to Lexington a few years ago so we typically meet up there for our session. This is our second family session in Downtown Lex. I wanted it to be different than the last so we took off in the opposite direction from the same starting location and man did it work out. I love the area near Transylvania University and Grantz Park. Old log cabins, historic homes, beautiful brick and lovely churches decorate the streets. It is magical.
These two little boys are the absolute sweetest! They get along so well, are so full of life and beautiful energy. They really are the best! We played, we laughed, we explored and as a result I was able to capture so much love and connection between this family of four. Mom, as always, looked stunning. I am pretty sure she has not aged in the years I have been photographing her. Not sure what her secret is but I would love to know! Dad is silly and kind. This is the family you see in magazines. And the outfits were perfect. The way mom was able to blend but not match, exactly what we photographers love to see. Perfect balance of color and style.
