I can’t say enough wonderful things about this family. These boys are so lucky to have each other and such wonderfully, loving parents. I have worked with them since their oldest was just 4 months old, now he is heading towards five. I can’t believe how time flies! Watching them grow and develop their relationship as siblings, as been such a joy, as a photographer. For this session, we went to the stunning arboretum in Lexington, Kentucky, where they now live. If you haven’t been, I really suggest you check it out. They have a unique kids area that was unfortunately closed but the time our session began, but great for those of you with young kids, looking for something new to experience. But just taking a walk around the beautifully, groomed grounds with worth the trip.
We began at sunset, great for light but pushing bedtime, so it always requires a little more patience. Their youngest, who was just shy of two at the time of the session, was as busy as to be expected for his age. I realized years ago that I can come into a situation with a plan, but that will be thrown out the window, as sessions with young kids have a life of their own. Which really is why I love working with kids, expect the unexpectable. The best I can do is find the spots with the best light and see where the session takes us. This session did not disappoint. We had so many exceptionally, beautifully candid moments that really tell the story of love between these four.
Hope you love these as much as I do! Please enjoy this amazing session!
