What a beautiful family! Raising teen boys (or girls) is not easy but man did this mom make it look easy. They clearly wanted to be anywhere but at a photo session. But when we go there, mom opened her purse and said put them in (referring to their photos). I could see this trick was done a lot. How smart! Either way, these boys did this for mom. They put on their best smiles and even laughed some. And how cute is their doggy! It is always a challenge to photograph pets in a new, exciting environment, but she did great! I love miniature grey hounds, simply adorable.
I think that it is so important to take photos when your kids are these ages. It is when many people back off on the family session. We are busy with soccer games, or other after school activities. We are all so busy it is hard to slow down to capture the connections we have. But before you know it, they will be off in the world. And we will miss those days, just as much as when they were adorable toddlers.
Oh and remember to take photos of you as a couple, too. I love when I can get a couple to connect, away from the family, just a small moment where they can just be them. That is how it all started.
