This is my second maternity session with this wonderful family and I can say it’s a bit different than the last. This time we were joined by their toddler in chief, who brought so much fun and joy to the session. I have photographed this little man several times and he is always so full of smiles with loads of energy. I know he is going to be a great big brother! Can’t wait to meet their new little man in a few weeks!

We take the approach of lifestyle photography, a method of capturing real moments and connections in an artistic way. The ability to freeze a moment in time has always drawn me to photography. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just real. For me, what I love most about photographing children, families and weddings is the real emotion and connections between loved ones. Sometimes there are tears, tears of joy or opposition (hey I work with toddlers), sometimes a shy moment turns into a perfect peak, as a little one looks up from behind daddy’s leg. An explosion of flour, while making christmas cookies, makes the perfect laughable memory. That moment when all eyes are on the bride, as she makes her way down the isle, the groom is the one who has her attention, as ours. These are the moments that I love. We are there to capture the big and small details of the day or the moment that makes it individual to you. That tells your story.
When photographing kids and families. One thing we promise is to not rush a session, working with kids requires a special patience. We take our lead from the child and try to make the session a fun experience. That is when the real smiles come out. Having worked with newborns to high school seniors, we are aware that every age is different, every child reacts in different ways or needs different amounts of time. We offer a boutique experience, and dedicate the time to help by offering planning sessions or display ordering sessions. We offer an array of products, from exquisite archival albums to fine art wall portraits that will be handed down through the generations.
