I just photographed this families second session in the little miracles package, before I post those, I really wanted to share our first session, which was done in their home back in February. I always want to get to these things sooner but time gets away from me. Im sure all you moms out there understand, life is busy!
This is a very special family to me, I photographed their first baby before they move to Cincinnati, while they were living here in Louisville. So I was so excited that they wanted me to come up and document their newest addition.
Home sessions are always so special, kids are the most comfortable, it’s where you spend most of your days, it is a place that you will look back on and know how much love was shared between those walls. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did photographing it. And how cute is that puppy!
A little sidenote about me as a photographer; many times I’m asked what is my style, that’s tough but I will try to answer. I guess I would say true to life with an element of art. I love photojournalism. I love timeless imagery. Whether you’re looking for dark and moody, bohemian, light and airy, etc, I find it impossible to fit into a category because every photo lends itself to a different feel, in my opinion. I want my fall photos to feel intimate and warm, I want my spring photos to feel optimistic and colorful, and soft. Sometimes intense color is needed, sometimes black and white.
