Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you a wonderful session from this past fall. This beautiful family moved to Louisville for a short time during the pandemic. This session was set the week they moved back to the Northeast. It wasn’t the sunniest of days and we got some sprinkles at the end but the session was bright and happy, either way. What a joyous age. So full of life and big emotions. We did the session at Falls of the Ohio, a wonderful place for family photography or for a fun day out. The backdrop is of the bridges into Louisville, Kentucky from Indiana and nature at its finest, the river, tall trees and unique rock formations. Beauty all around.
I love when parents just play. Let me step back and capture. The love for photojournalism is what brought me into my style, capturing candid memories and unexpected moments. Freezing a snapshot in time. And as a mom with kids 15 and almost 12, collecting these moments is just so important to me. It really does go fast. One thing I regret, I don’t have sessions like this of me and my family. Not a lot of photographers specialized in this style when I had really young kiddos.
