It’s been several years since I was visited by this family, and I cannot believe how much the kiddos have grown. We had the most beautiful weather and were surrounded by so many colorful flowers. Mom also brought out her family including her mother and their adorable dog. You never know when you book your session what you’re going to get, as vegetation changes as often as the weather around here. So to say we got lucky is an understatement. Mom wanted more posed pictures, which was not difficult to achieve with two kiddos that are completely comfortable in their own skin and love to show off their beautiful smiles. They both had me cracking up too, which is supposed to be my job.
I love photographing the dynamics of a family. Observing their connections, witnessing their love. It’s one of my greatest joys about my job, I feel I always walk away learning a little bit about myself and life. For those who take pictures for a living of families or children, you probably know what I mean that there is an energy that’s created, that’s different from every family but during the photography session you get to learn a little about who people are and what makes every family a little unique.
I just chose a handful of my favorites, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did photographing this wonderful family.
Now booking family and children portrait sessions for fall if 2022. I have very limited spots in October, but here’s a fun fact for all of y’all out there that have procrastinated and not booked your session yet, November is just as beautiful and if not sometimes prettier because our season seem to be getting later and later, although very unpredictable. At least we can predict will be some color in the trees and leaves on the ground at that time, but like I said I do have a handful of October dates available.
