Hey everyone! This is my second session with this wonderful family and I couldn’t have been more excited to meet their newest. She is an absolute doll, just like her older sister. The forecast wasn’t as ideal as we would have liked it to be but that did not rain on our parade. Sometimes cloudy weather can produce the most vibrant of colors.
The family looked so wonderful with the colors they had chosen, they popped against the cloudy skies and changing trees of autumn in Kentucky. When photographing families, I make it a priority to capture real moments, as well as, timeless portraits that will be treasured for generations.
For me, as a mom, it’s the little moments that you look back on and realize how much you miss and love. My kids are slowly growing up and these kinds of sessions bring a tear to my eye, witnessing the cuddle’s and hugs. I wish I had done more family sessions when my kids were younger, I was just so busy, as I’m sure so many of you are, but these are times you just can’t get back. I am thankful that I have so many great photos of my kids but photos as a family are few and far between. I wish I had known what I know now, that it really does go fast. It seems like you turn around and they’re grown.
