There are so many hidden treasures in our beautiful city of Louisville, KY. When looking at studio spaces, I ran across this unique space in Nulu that was being converted into lofts. The owner had to wait on the red tape and offered his space for my studio until he received the paperwork to begin development. Clearly, I could not use this space as it is covered in broken concrete and dust but I was fascinated by the architecture so asked if I could use it for a session one day. When a client came to me wanting a bridal session, separate from her wedding day photos, and asked for a unique space, I knew exactly the one.
For those of you that have already married or those who are getting married now, the bridal or trash the dress session is really a wonderful way to get in photos that you may not have time for on the actual wedding day. I have done these sessions before and after the wedding, after being ideal if we are shooting in a place that may lend to your dress getting dirty.
Although, I can suggest many indoor alternatives or the best cleaners to touch up the dress, if needed. The groom can also be included in these sessions. Maybe your wedding day didn’t allow for the time needed for more intimate photos of the two of you or the weather wasn’t cooperative for outdoor photos, whatever the reason, bridal sessions can be a wonderful, stress free way to create artistic images of you in your dress or intimate moments as a couple.
