I absolutely loved this couple! Witnessing the love and care they have for each other was the highlight of my year. It restored my faith in love and commitment. They were married quite close to my home in Crestwood, on a family farm and wedding venue in Eminence, Kentucky called the Barn at Seven Gables. I cannot recommend this place more. It was elegant, rustic, family run. All the things that I just love about Kentucky venues. The barn was decorated with antiques with modern romantic touches.
It was a misty September day. Fog covered the ground as I pulled into the farm. Christy got ready in the cutest outbuilding, perfect for a bride and her people. After she was ready, they decided on a first look. I love those moments. Not only do you get more time after the ceremony, but you have an intimate moment together before surrounded by a crowd. Tom was clearly anxious in anticipation and the look on his face when he turned around to see his beautiful bride to be was just priceless.
They embraced, shared laughs, wiped tears from each others eyes. It was true love and how lucky was I to be a fly on the wall. After these beautiful moments we made our way to the barn for family and individual photos.
Luckily, the weather was beautiful and the outdoor ceremony went off without a hitch. It was a day time wedding, so our light was a bit harsh, but the greens of Kentucky illuminated the scene. After guests proceeded to the barn where they had appetizers followed by a catered lunch by Eminence’s own Our Best https://www.ourbestrestaurant.com. Now if you haven’t been there, it is a must for country cooking and the best pies around. They are so good they sometimes sell out before noon!
The reception ended in time for the newly married couple to hit the road and get to their honeymoon. I can say I am very honored to have spent a few hours with this couple and I wish them a lifetime of joy and happiness. Please enjoy a small handful of moments from this beautiful day.
